The Salado Historical Society and Johnny’s Steaks & Bar-Be-Que Present Country Music Artist Matt Castillo in Benefit Concert
Salado, TX – The Salado Historical Society is proud to announce an exciting partnership with Johnny’s Steaks & Bar-Be-Que to present country music star Matt Castillo live in concert on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Johnny’s Outback in Salado, Texas.
This special event is a benefit concert to support the completion of renovations on the historic 1908 Church and to help establish a new Historical Park for community use in Salado. The evening promises great music, delicious food, and a strong sense of community—all for a worthy cause.
The evening kicks off with an exclusive VIP Dinner from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., featuring steak dinners for VIP guests. A VIP Table is available for $750, which includes:
Seating for 6 guests
Steak dinners for all 6
Access to a private bar and private restrooms
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m and ends at 9:00 p.m., with General Admission tickets available for $20 pre-sale or $25 at the gate. Johnny's has kindly allowed small personal folding chairs inside, so feel free to bring your own for this one event.

Come participate in community live music gatherings every Summer Solstice (June 21st) & the Winter Solstice (December 21st). Salado Music Friendly Board, We Are Music Salado, & Make Music Alliance have collaborated to bring family friendly community live music events to Salado’s “Historic Music Mile” (Main Street).
No musical talented needed! Just bring your excitement and smiles! We encourage the young and old, musically talented and rhythmically challenged to participate. It’s not how good you are playing a instrument, it’s how much fun you can create with the people in your community!
Salado’s Music Friendly Community Board hosts large events each year and provides free instruments for participants. Come celebrate music with people from all across the globe!
