It must have been quite a surprise!

In 1986, while tearing down an old home in Salado, a two-room log cabin, dating back to the 1840’s, was found, fully constructed, inside the old home! It was dismantled, then reconstructed by the Salado Historical Society 4 years later. Named after its original owners, the Boles-Aiken cabin, as well as the Denman cabin, will be open to the public one Saturday each month beginning n March 2025.

Make your plans to step back into Salado, where history is more than just a memory.

It’s a treasured experience!
