As Winter begins in Central Texas, the Salado Community Chorus will begin preparing for Spring! The Board of Directors has announced that the Kickoff for the Spring semester will be held January 21, 2025, 6:00 pm at the Salado Civic Center, 601 N. Main.  After a soup supper the director, Dottie Shirley, will preview the music to be performed at the May 6 concert.  New members are always welcomed.  Our chorus is made up of people from Salado and surrounding communities.  Tryouts are not required but a love of singing, prior experience singing alone or in a choir and dedication are all plusses that will make you a good fit.  The Chorus practices from 6:00-7:30 pm every Tuesday at the Civic Center.  Members pay a registration fee of $30 per semester to help cover the cost of music and concert expenses.  “If you find yourself singing along at our concerts, or wishing you could, come join us! The Chorus is a great group of people, plus we have an amazing director and accompanist” says Kathy McLeod, Vice President.
