Barrow Brewing Company in Salado, Texas is hosting the Northbound and Down Music Festival March 18-19, 2023. This free music festival, in its fourth year, will feature an eclectic mix of national and Texas artists.

New York-based Nisa, opens the festival on Saturday at 2 p.m. Her debut album, Guilt Trip, released in 2021 and her latest EP, Exaggerate, are all described as adrenaline inducing and energetic. Her music is said to articulate feelings that words wouldn’t do justice to.

Boy Golden, Founder, Minister and Principal Songwriter at The Church of Better Daze, takes the John Deere stage at 3:30 p.m. His songs, like hymns, are hopeful, fresh, and upbeat.

Popsiclestickairport, a five-piece Indie pop/rock band from Arizona will subvert all expectations as the soft-spoken, unassuming group transforms before a crowd to deliver a captivating, high-energy performance reminiscent of The 1975, Wallows, or Bleachers.

Clayton Waller, a Mississippi native, is the mastermind behind the indie/dreamy rock project Rock Eupora that plays at 6:30 p.m. Unforgettable melodies and a dreamy sound are coming to Salado with this band.

Finally, Saturday night closes with Rhinestone Pickup Truck. If the name makes you think of lo-fi, bare bones, Southern-tinged rock… you’re right on the money.

The brewery will be hosting select vendors, guest food trucks, and fun activities for the whole family on Saturday March 18th. Sunday will be pared down with live music at 2 p.m. from Neopolitan, an Alt-rock group from Austin.

You are encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs and blankets to spread out on the brewery grounds.

Salado, Texas is a certified Texas Music Friendly Community and Barrow Brewing is a member of the Music Association of Central Texas. Brewery owners, Graydon and KD Hill, believe venues like theirs can foster creativity and community. Come out in March to find inspiration, entertainment, and of course, great craft beer.

Visit Salado will have shuttle service running and the Visitor Center will be open Saturday from 10a-4p and Sunday from 12-4p.
