Join us at the Salado Museum for this special exhibit! Running for the month of August, “Cartooning Texas” celebrates cartoon art in Texas.

Incisive summaries of our history appear daily in newspapers in the form of political cartoons. This exhibit uses political cartoons to traverse a century in the life of our state. Selected cartoons represent ten decades of political life in Texas.

Based on a traveling exhibition created by Maury Forman and Robert A. Calvert, this exhibit reminds us that events of great concern can vanish from memory in a few short years — only to resurface again and again.
